Katie Williamson Newton  lived in Montana for over twenty years and has been in wild Wyoming for the last eleven. In these years she has developed an intense personal interest in the history of the Indian culture. This led to her learning the Indian ways of hide tanning (brain tanning), bead work, silk ribbon appliqué and the construction of Native American clothing and accessories.
She is currently focusing on the creation of  Indian style dolls as well as continuing to write on the subject of historic Indian dolls. Her latest book, Native American Indian Toy Cradles, should be at press by late 2007.

These dolls are but a few examples of Katie's work. They are already in private collections, and not available for sale. While Katie can make a doll to represent a specific tribe, clothing style and era, she does not ever repeat a doll exactly. They are truly one-of-a-kind items.
