| What will I need to connect?
If you are already an internet user with another Internet service
provider, the conversion process is extremely simple. An internet
software package is available if you are a new user with Windows 95/98
and do not have a web browser installed on your computer. The software
comes with easy to install instructions. However, if you experience
installation or conversion problems, our technical support team will be
available to help solve the problem. Customers using Mac OS8 or newer
will be given simple wizard instructions to allow Internet access.
There are certain hardware requirements necessary to connect to the
internet. It is the responsibility of the user to be sure those
requirements are met. tctwest.net is not responsible for
hardware or computer system problems. Your service charges will begin as
soon as your internet account is set up, so please be sure that you have
the proper hardware in place. You may need to contact your computer
supplier to verify your hardware capabilities. You will need a minimum
of:
33.6 modem (If you purchase a new modem, we suggest that you
purchase a K56 V.90.)
64 MB RAM
23 to 35 MB extra free space on hard drive to support browser
software.
If you are new to the world of computers and/or Internet, there are
several basic computer and Internet user manuals written for beginners.
We suggest that you purchase tutorial information. Also most new users
would benefit from enrolling in computer and internet classes. |
