Today’s Choices for Tomorrow – A partnership for student development
TCT with other business and community partners, in conjunction with the Northwest College Foundation, the Big Horn County Health Coalition and local schools, are proud to support the youth of our communities through an unprecedented scholarship program for grades 6-12. The goal of Today’s Choices for Tomorrow is to make available a $150 scholarship every semester for students in our area, with a potential total amount of $2,100 for a student beginning the program in the 6th grade. Following graduation, the student will use this money for post-secondary education or training. Overall, we hope this will give more students the opportunity to gain skills that will be more valuable to a potential employer and themselves!
Today’s Choices for Tomorrow is the first scholarship program in the Big Horn Basin supporting students with a focus on gaining valuable job skills after graduation—including a reduction in the rates of academic failure, school dropouts, disciplinary infractions, substance abuse & delinquency. Today’s Choices participants are required to maintain a 2.0 GPA, participate in a preventive extracurricular random drug testing program if offered by the school and strive to have positive citizenship in order to receive the long-term scholarship benefits. Students are rewarded for making good decisions thus making them want to continue on a positive path for the future. Today’s Choices for Tomorrow is a program every student can benefit from!
