LOG
CHINKING:
In order to seal up gaps, cracks ,and holes in most log structures, it
is recommended that a chinking of some kind be used. In days of old
all sorts of materials were used, straw, mud, clay, bark and even dried
manure.
Fortunately today we now have synthetic chinking material, capable of outlasting
even the logs that it is applied to.
Here, at Yellowstone Woodcare we use only SASHCO
brand log chinking and caulking and Wood Iron Wood finishes. These
products, combined with years in the log home industry and restoration
field, give us the upper hand in making your restoration, staining, or
chinking project come together quickly, efficiently and with professional
results that you can be proud of for many years to come.
