Wayfaring Traveler Ranch  (WTR) offers world travelers a selection of adventures not seen elsewhere in the USA.    Our three (3) different adventure packages provide life-long memories while trekking the northwest stretches of Wyoming, USA.   From a 3-day guided tour of the high desert or mountains, to a Dinosaur Dig, or try your own wilderness backcountry adventure, WTR acts as your central location for a wide variety of adventures.

Dinosaur Dig
Have you ever thought of being an adventurer like Indiana Jones?   By staying with WTR you will have our Guest House and a vegetarian meal plan as a base of operations while working with llamas, exploring the countryside, digging for dinosaurs, visiting museums of western art and culture, and experiencing a western gun fight and western rodeo.   
WTR works with local businesses to provide you an opportunity to explore with the following itinerary:
Sunday -  Check-in and relax at the ranch after the long travels.
Monday - 
Learn how to pack with llamas.
Tuesday -  Tour the Big Horn Mtns.  Visit an ancient Indian Medicine Wheel.  Discover a Pioneer Museum.
Wednesday -  Digging for Dinosaurs with Dinosaur Safaris, IncDinosaur Dig Site will be opened during July, 2007.     The dig site tours are an integral educational aspect to promote the earth sciences and specifically dinosaurs. Properly done, a hands-on dinosaur digging experience can be fun and rewarding.
Thursday -  Digging for Dinosaurs
Friday -  Head into Cody, WY, and visit the Buffalo Bill Historical Center,  watch re-enactments of famous gun battles, and take in the Cody Nite Rodeo.
Saturday -  Take in the wonders of Yellowstone Park.
Sunday -  Travel to Thermopolis for the soothing Hot Springs and tour the Wyoming Dinosaur Center OR return to Yellowstone for further discovery, and continuation of your USA trekking.
Package price for
2007 is $1040 /person/double occupancy.  Children under 13 years old $780/person.   Add (5%) Sales Tax, and use of Credit Card Fee (4%).   US Currency only.

Guided Llama Trek
Here is a way to travel the USA and experience a bit of backcountry llama trekking through a  3-day guided and supplied tour of the high desert or mountains, and still be able to take in the tourist spectacles which Wyoming is known for.   By staying with WTR you have our Guest House and a vegetarian meal plan as a base of operations while working and trekking with llamas, outdoor camping, exploring the countryside,  visiting museums of western art and culture, and experiencing a western gun fight and a western rodeo.
WTR provides you an opportunity to explore with the following itinerary:
Sunday -  Check-in and relax after the long travels.
Monday -  Learn how to pack with llamas.
Tuesday - 
Transport to area, trek into the backcountry with llamas, and campout under the stars.
Wednesday - 
Day trip for further exploration
Thursday -  Trek out & head back to WTR
Friday -

Your Own Llama Trek
If you have taken treks of your own, WTR can furnish you with the backcountry cargo loaders and gear while you explore: The Cloud Peak,  North Absaroka, or  Washaki Wilderness areas.
WTR will furnish, for up to a 5-day wilderness experience, llamas, packs, food, cooking materials, tent, and sleeping bag.   WTR will also help you plan the trip with a sample itinerary:
Sunday -  Check-in and relax after the long travels.
Monday -  Learn how to pack with llamas and use the equipment.
Tuesday -  Transport to area, trek into the backcountry with llamas, and campout under the stars.
Wednesday -  Llama Trekking
Thursday -  Llama Trekking
Friday -  Llama Trekking
Saturday -  Trek to waiting transport back to WTR for a soft bed and a good home-cooked meal.
Sunday -  Travel to Thermopolis for the soothing Hot Springs and tour the Wyoming Dinosaur Center  OR  head into Cody, WY, for Buffalo Bill Historical Center,  re-enactments of famous gun battles, and the Cody Nite Rodeo OR head to Yellowstone for further discovery, and continuation of your USA trek.
Package price for
2007 is $1250 /person/double occupancy plus a damage deposit of $200, all or portion there-of returned upon inspection.   Children under 13 years old, $925/person.   Add (5%) Sales Tax and use of Credit Card Fee (4%). US Currency only.

     Reservations are required and a deposit equal to one-half (1/2) the Adventure total is required.     Visa, MasterCard, travelers and personal checks are accepted.   Cancellations or changes to your reservations prior to 30 days of the scheduled arrival will result in a refund less a processing fee ($100.00).   Cancellations within 30 days of your scheduled arrival will result in no refund unless the Adventure is rebooked.   Check-in time is from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday.   Check out time is 11:00 am the following Sunday.    Children are welcome.   Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.   Pets are allowed, but WTR is not responsible for their care and safety.

Risk Liability Waiver
While enjoying our facilities, BLM lands, or Forest Service lands, there are inherent risks and hazards - handling llamas, encountering unpredictable animals, fishing in remote areas, hiking, cycling, and life on a ranch in general, all pose the potential for an accident. For this reason, we require that you visit at your own risk, and sign a liability release.

     Wayfaring Traveler Ranch reserves the right to expel any guest who, in the judgment of the WTR staff member, is exhibiting dangerous or inappropriate behavior, ignoring or defying safety rules, or is in any way causing danger or discomfort to other guests, WTR staff, or him/herself.   Payment will be forfeited under these circumstances.
A Llama Lease Agreement is required for those leasing llamas and equipment.   The balance is due before you start on your llama trek.   If Wayfaring Traveler Ranch is forced to cancel a trip, all money received will be refundable.
